Free tools, plain-English guides and a step-by-step DIY Kit for couples applying for an Australian partner visa. Written by a registered migration agent.
Married and de facto couples lodge one combined application. It is decided in two stages.
From inside Australia you apply for the 820/801. From outside Australia you apply for the 309/100. You pay one application charge.
If approved, you get the temporary 820 or 309. You can live, work and study in Australia.
About two years after you applied, you send updated evidence and the permanent 801 or 100 is assessed.
Engaged and outside Australia? The Prospective Marriage visa 300 lets you come to Australia to marry, then apply onshore.
